Climate-based Range Projections for Hawai‘i’s Forest Birds

The Pacific Islands Climate Change Cooperative has projected climate-based changes in the range of Hawaiian forest bird species. A tool containing map layers shows the projected species distribution changes between 1990-2010 and 2080-2100. Map layers show areas projected be lost, to persist, and to be gained by the end of the 21st century for 20 different species.

The individual forest bird species distribution projections are available on the PICCC’s Planning Atlas.
