Figure 2-12 Annual rainfall anomaly (inches per month per decade) in the WNP sub-region from 1950 to 2010 shows that whereas islands in the west are tending toward getting slightly more precipitation, islands in the east are experiencing much less precipitation. Darker blue shading indicates wetter conditions, and darker red shading indicates drier. The size of the dot is proportional to the size of the trend as per the inset scale.
