PIRCA presented findings of the 2012 assessment report at the Pacific Islands Climate Services Forum, January 21-25, 2013, in Suva, Fiji. Forum participants examined the 2012 PIRCA report and other tools with the goal to improve the usability of climate information and tools for decision makers.
The Pacific Islands Climate Services Forum was hosted by the Pacific Centre for Environment and Sustainable Development (PACE-SD) and the Pacific Climate Information System (PaCIS), with support from NOAA through the US Agency for International Development (USAID). The forum aimed to engage climate experts in a dialogue with resource and disaster risk managers, community planners, meteorological service representatives, postgraduate students, and the greater climate services community, as well as government ministries, program managers, and policy makers.
